The Tale the Wolf Never Told

Dear Stranger,

I don’t know you, but something tells me you, too, have once walked through a forest filled with silence..

One of those forests where people tell stories without asking first..
Where, when you change or leave, someone always steps in to explain your reasons, without waiting to hear your voice..

I’m writing to carry you into a tale.. Not one of the old ones..
One of the true ones, the kind that wears capes and wolves just to make itself more bearable..

If it finds you in a moment when you need to be heard, read it as if you wrote it..
And if not, keep it safe for the day when someone else needs you to ask them:
“What story would you tell, if someone truly listened?”

So..

Once upon a time, in a forest everyone thought they knew, lived a wolf who had never bitten anyone..
He walked quietly, kept his shadow small, and spoke little, only looked..

But one morning, Little Red Riding Hood told her story..
And people believed her..
Not because they knew, but because they wanted to know..

And so the other stories began..
About you, about me, about anyone who leaves..

They whisper stories when you leave a job..
When you no longer laugh in the team meetings..
When you take on responsibility, and instead of a helping hand, they give you distance..

Suddenly, the job is no longer a team..
It’s a tower..
And you.. its lone guard..
Alone..
With all the weight, and none of the protection..

The same with love.. When you find someone to hold, and others remain alone, suddenly you don’t belong..
You’re no longer “one of us..” You become someone else.. Or at least, that’s what they say..

And so the wolf, who was never wicked, had no choice but to become a little quieter..

But if you asked him.. or if once you gave him space to speak..

He might say:

“I’m still me..
Just a little lonelier, a little stronger..
And if I’ve grown silent, it’s only because I’ve learned that no matter what I say, some will still write their version..
So I chose to write my own.. In the light.. With truth.. And no applause for misunderstanding.”

And that is the tale the wolf never told..
If you read it again, you might just find yourself inside it.. at least i have..

With belief in the quieter side of things,
